Islam's Holy Quran considers "arrogance" as among the
gravest moral transgressions. Allah has been explicit about His detestation
with arrogant people. Even the Prophet Muhammad whom we all strive to emulate
was a paragon of humility regardless of his Supreme Elevation by Allah among
humankind. It was arrogance that led Pharaoh of Egypt into his infamous
despicable fate.
Beware arrogant friends, MPs, ministers, doctors, nurses, lawyers,
bosses, imams etc.
What's arrogance? Arrogance is overbearing pride evidenced by a
superior manner toward inferiors (or others).
A synonym for "arrogance" is "lordliness". Are
you Lord? Arrogance is the Lord's!
May power, money, elevation, luck, knowledge, certificate et cetera
never fill us with lordly feelings, arrogance.
